All-over blonde has one weakness: as your own colour grows in, a clear line appears at the root. Rooted blonde is designed around that problem.
The idea
The root is kept natural, or deepened on purpose, and the blonde is blended down from it. Because the change from dark to light is gradual from the start, new growth simply extends the darker part instead of creating a line.
Why it grows out softly
There is no sharp edge for regrowth to expose. As your hair grows, the transition moves down slowly and still looks intentional.
Who it suits
- Brunettes who want blonde without a full change
- Blondes whose regrowth line bothers them
- Anyone who would rather visit less often
What to ask your colourist
- How dark should the root be for my skin tone?
- How will it look in a few months?
- Will toning be needed to keep the blonde the right shade?
A free colour consultation is available if you would like to talk it through first.
